INTRODUCTION

Hello and welcome to Penn Street Woodturning my name is Scott and I have been a professional carpenter for some 30 plus years and always wanted to try my hand at woodturning. Over the past few years I have built up a sizable collection of works and now I believe the time has come to show the world…

With the rare exception, all of the wood I use it either local to Penn Street, supplied by local tree surgeons or from my supplier of native wood turning blanks in Somerset, I will always try to use native woods as much as I can. (But can also get exotics on request) as we have an amazing variety of timber in this country and as someone that uses trees for a living, carbon footprint is very important to me.
